MAX RAD has been across the UK developing his sound, born in Gloucestershire, relocating to London and now based in Bristol. The artist has forged a path as an artist, producer, co-writer and mixing engineer, showing his astounding ability wherever he goes. He’s received a wide range of industry acclaim for his music, with press lauding him and festivals doing their best to have him on the line up, and also recently started an ambient project, max says relax, created to help sufferers of anxiety and depression.
Starting with a plucky synth and a spacious pad, MAX RAD’s latest single ‘Holding On’ captures you ears with an ethereal atmosphere that feels ready to blow. When it finally explodes, it does so in a starry vibrance of colour, the energy building alongside the instrumentation, thumping drums and bass and the repeating synth melodies leave us flying through the track. The vocal performance is equally area and celestial, matching the atmosphere perfectly with a sense of hope and quiet optimism in a melancholic shroud. It’s bittersweet, but beautiful, encased in a EDM box.
MAX RAD shares, "This track is about hitting troubled times in relationships, when you have to really dig deep and find trust in the things that brought you together. We can all walk away from things far too easily and good things often require work, but if you trust the love and know deep down its right, then all you can do is hold on and get through those dark places."
