MAYFLOW unleash dynamic single “BTY”

Hot on the heels of their earlier release, “MOON”, MAYFLOW return with their latest single “BTY” and they show no signs of slowing down. Formed online during the COVID-19 lockdown, the duo, consisting of Mayford Fox and enigmatic vocalist LowKey, have dropped four singles. Together, they craft music with meaning, tackling topics like mental health, self acceptance and the bleak realities of modern society. With “BTY” MAYFLOW looks to continue pushing boundaries. 

An experimental percussion pushes through the airwaves, as “BTY” bursts into action. The track seamlessly blends infectious melodies and distorted synths, dancing the line between electronic music and alternative pop. “BTY’s” reflective lyrics explore the universal struggle of having a need to belong, set on the backdrop of an immersive and genre-blending soundscape. 

Diving into the meaning of the track, MAYFLOW share “This is a track about yearning, desire and frustration -  what the soundtrack of a drunk drive in the night filled with bad intentions would sound like. Seeking for a little warmth, a little human connection in this cold nihilist world, but always looking for it in the wrong places. The universal need that we all share of feeling important for somebody is heartbreakingly and persistently unmet."
