After raising intrigue with their achingly cool debut single “Let Me Be”, alt-rockers Monsoon Radio return with their second offering, “So It Seems”.
Reminiscent of the beloved bands of the 90’s, the grungy vocals bode as a perfect pair to the heavy riffs, forging a distinctive sound for the London quartet. With the steady drum beat carrying the melody, frontman Usman’s reflective lyricism hits home, and showcases the impressive instrumentation Monsoon Radio have to offer.
The track is an amalgamation of each member’s style, with the band explaining “So It Seems was the first song that was written entirely together as a band, combining each of our creative influences to define the Monsoon Radio sound”.
No strangers to their local scene, Monsoon Radio have stormed the stages of The Water Rats, Fiddlers Elbow and The Rocksteady with their venue-packing anthems, despite being relative newcomers. In the two years they have been together, only lately have they decided to release the songs they’ve been carefully crafting, and the time spent honing their skills has undoubtedly paid off.
2021 looks to be an incredibly promising year for the four piece as they gear up to release their debut EP ‘What Could Be Different?’, an anticipated record that is bound to prove their place within the industry.
