Over the last year, New York-based artist Subway Rat has been one of the more prolific names doing the rounds. Spending much of the last few months turning out a flurry of bold and enigmatic gems, he recently released his hotly-tipped new album 'Captain Of The Football Team', featuring the breezy new single 'Lost Without U'.
As the penultimate entry on his latest LP, his newest effort sits as one of the more sombre yet heartfelt additions on the release. With its warm and embracing textures highlighting his beautifully serene vocals throughout, 'Lost Without U' saw out his 2023 with style and finesse from beginning to end.
While creating an incredibly broad and diverse array of releases in such a short space of time is never an easy feat, Subway Rat seems to thrive in his busy and turbulent pursuit. Channelling some brilliantly inventive aesthetics throughout, 2024 could be the year he breaks away from the peripheries and into the mainstream.
