“The whole track began when my bassist, Bram 't Hart, sent me a memo of him playing the bass. That became the foundation, and from there, I built it up with piano, synths, and drums. The lyrics were inspired by my own long-distance relationship with my girlfriend, who lives in Paris. It's a track that will resonate with anyone who's ever loved from afar.”
This bass line, which NEWĀRK describes as the “dough” of the track, set the tone for an arrangement filled with mellow yet vibrant energy, perfectly suited to the late-night, levitating feel of his new sound.
