Review: Tom Neilson ‘This Love I Know’

“In this EP, I aimed to share the stories of the love I've experienced and how it has shaped my life. Love is what gives life meaning; it connects us, tears us apart, and ultimately makes us whole. It's what truly matters in the end. I wanted to convey that narrative and create something that resonates with people and brings them joy.”

Tom Neilson weaves genres of folk, pop, and alternative music on his debut EP, This Love I Know. The compilation of tracks demonstrates his developing sound while creating a stronger bond with his listeners.

Thematically, Tom Neilson discusses topics of joy, loss, grief, and hope. Drawing influence from the likes of Tom Odell, Regina Spektor, Mumford & Sons and Simon & Garfunkel, the wide range of emotions displayed offers a captivating listening experience. Through moving lyricism, gorgeous melodies, and lovely productions, he has created something memorable.

In conclusion, Tom Neilson’s debut EP, This Love I Know, is a testament to his extraordinary music discography.
