Runrummer Announces Debut Album ‘Elevator’ and Releases New Single ‘Orbit’

Emerging alt-pop sensation Runrummer is back with the announcement of her debut album ‘Elevator’ and the release of her electrifying new single ‘Orbit’. Taking her name from the iconic Rum Runner nightclub, responsible for the likes of Duran Duran and Dexy’s Midnight Runners, she has already graced the stages of many major festivals despite only still getting started.

Kicking off with pulsating beats and an electrifying synth rhythm, Runrummer spares no time in hammering home the energy. ‘Orbit’ is one of those tracks that you just keep coming back to. Even after just a handful of listens, its energy is as addictive as it is enticing. Musically the track blends together the prowess of groups such as Duran Duran with the contemporary feel of Wet Leg and Olivia Rodrigo. Not only that but ‘Orbit’ possesses that magical feel-good factor that is really exciting to hear with such a young artist.

Lyrically, Runrummer deals with the absorbing nature of attraction and romance, how people pull you in and you never want to let go. Speaking about the track, she comments, "Orbit is all about the idea of being completely and utterly captivated by someone, to the point where you constantly want to be in their orbit in one way or another. It's fast and hard-hitting, capturing the essence of those intense feelings."

With industry backing coming from BBC Introducing, PRS Foundation and Kitsuné Musique, Runrummer aims to take the industry by storm with her own emphatic brand of feel-good pop.
