Ruston Taylor unveils dynamic debut single '29'

Sydney-based singer-songwriter Ruston Taylor has officially arrived with his debut single '29'. Floating between indie-rock and alternative, the track explores themes of disconnection, monotony, and the struggle of growing up, delivering a raw and anthemic introduction to Taylor’s artistry.

“29 is an ode to my habitual reluctance to grow up,” Taylor shares. The song captures the paradox of a life filled with ambition yet devoid of direction, creating a relatable narrative for listeners navigating their own uncertainties.

Driven by powerful guitars, stomping beats, and a layer of crunchy synths, '29' is built for sweaty mosh pits and gritty dive bars. The track kicks off with an atmospheric intro before giving way to a wildly catchy guitar hook that swings between verses and choruses. With sonic nods to ’90s Britpop and early 2000s indie rock, 29 also draws inspiration from modern songwriters like Sam Fender, Jason Isbell, and Jake Bugg.
