Sam Stokes has returned with her debut solo album ‘Common Ground’. Richly human and personality drenched from cover to cover, the project ranges from soft acoustic and vocal numbers to vivid band arrangements, introducing everything from twangy electric guitars to soft flutes. The common factor across the twelve tracks is Sam’s touching vocal performances. With an almost poetic vocal delivery, she controls her voice in both moments of choir-like heaven and spoken word.
Sam shares, "My entire commitment in this lifetime is to share love, light and hope through music and art so that our planet and our humanity may be the best it has ever been. I view music as a form of servitude and I hope that in every song that comes through me and every performance, I am able to give someone just a little bit more love in their life."
Sam is the eternal flame, soft and tender candlelight and force of wildfire. First appearing in 2022 alongside Casey Abrams on the album ‘Conscious Stars’, Sam has since released a host of singles in the lead-up to ‘Common Ground’. Taking production into her own hands for the project, she has used her creative freedom to time and time again defy genre, grabbing tastemaker attention as she does so.
