The ‘Wind Chimes’ EP from Irish up-and-comer Sarah Buckley showcases her recent run of singles with a bittersweet new title track. After the moody atmosphere of ‘Always Trouble’ and the steadfast bounce of ‘Puppet Show’ we are treated to the deeply emotional ‘Wind Chimes’. Twinkling soundscapes made up of rich acoustic melodies from both piano and guitar are countered with soft synth hums and swirling electric guitar counters. Vocally, Sarah leads us through the music with vulnerability and poise, lacing poignance in her lyrics.
Sarah shares, “The wind chimes EP for me is about acknowledging a tough time or relationships gone wrong but by the end of the three tracks being ready to set that tough time aside and move on.”
Hailing from Cork, Sarah’s been garnering attention since her debut single ‘You’ve Got Me’ in 2019. Inspired by introspective songwriting, authenticity and world class lyricism of her heroes, Sarah has crafted her own unique space.
Performing across Ireland and reaching the semi-finals in the International Songwriting Competition, Buckley has also been selected to take part in the ‘Creative Moves Europe’ project, seeing the artist improve her music in the new environment of Berlin.
