A subsidiary of Riverside Studios, Riverside Music TV has been at the forefront of grassroots music since its inception. Providing a platform for music fanatics to discover new artists and connect with their favourites, the platform has recently platformed rising stars Callum Beattie and Rianne Downey. Back for the summer, RMTV are bringing Glaswegian alt-rock three-piece Fatherson to the limelight ahead of the release of their latest project ‘Normal Fears’.
The latest third of their performance is now live on RMTV with the charged ‘Piece Of Mind’. There's a magical essence that oozes out of these three lads, a bubbling chemistry that sees them produce quick riffs and cutting rhythms with ease. Capturing the atmosphere, the polished production amplifies the quality of the band. Their anthemic indie rock sound punches out of the speakers, as the band throw in new darker, brooding curveballs to give rise to the bands new, exciting edge. Speaking about the band’s evolution, frontman Ross comments, “We're the best version that this band has ever been…and in six months we'll be a better version of that.”
The band have put out three studio albums since their debut in 2014 with all four of the efforts hitting the top twenty of the Scottish album charts. Turning thousands of heads in the process, the band bartered support from BBC Radio 1 as they landed spots at T In The Park and The Great Escape before supporting Lewis Capaldi on his European arena tour. With their emphatic story so far, and a whole host of industry cheerleaders cheering them on, it's no wonder Fatherson are heralded as one of the most exciting Scottish bands on the scene right now.
