Oluwaseun Oluyole, popularly known by the stage name Sean Dampte, started his musical journey as a chorister in his home city of Lagos, Nigeria. After a move to London the artist saw success as an Afro-Pop artist that has continued across the last decade.
Ghetto Boy is representing the Afrobeats scene as a Grammy Award winner consistently building notability and climbing to over a million streams across DSPs. Highlights include headlining a show in Germany, performing with Mr Eazi in Sweden and a tour around Europe at the end of 2018.
Sean Dampte and Ghetto Boy have collaborated on new track ‘Go Low’, the pair creating a flirtatious and confident performance in their vocals, with an element of laid-back passion that makes it an enticing listen. The beat brings together warm, afro-influenced percussion with naturally punchy kicks that lay the foundation for an equally lush repeated piano chord line. Taking it slow as the lyrics suggest, Sean Dampte and Ghetto Boy put in performances that show off their natural musical chemistry, keeping the vibe going no matter who is taking the mic.
Ghetto Boy shares, “I always like to make music reflecting on what I’m going through at that moment and experience. Sometimes what me and my boys talk about drives my inspiration.
You don’t need to be the noisy one in the room. Nice and slow, steady wins your lover’s heart.”
