After releasing his debut EP ‘Notes 2 Self’ West London artist Shakota makes his 2021 return with the release of latest indie-pop ballad ‘Mon Fleur’.
Henry (Shakota), has created a beautiful, rich soundscape with notes of summer and sun shining through the production. Captivating from the first note, his use of nostalgic guitar lines and trill synths send the listener into a reminiscent trance. His calming vocals are the guide for the song as they flow effortlessly in synergy with the instrumentation to create a full experience.
Speaking about the song's creation he explains, “I’ve always been in love with music and the first lockdown was really the driving force behind me starting up as Shakota. I want people listen to my music and relate it to their own lives”
Shakota possesses a raw talent for storytelling and writing poignant lyrics that weave reality and fantasy into an uptempo feel good piece of music. Drawing inspiration from events in his life as well as musical elements and artists such as Tyler The Creator and Rex Orange County, he makes music that is relatable to the masses and speaks for a generation.
This is the first offering from the London artist this year and is a promising show of what's to come in the future. Having just started on his musical journey, he is definitely an artist to keep an eye on.
