Dance and reggaeton singer-songwriter Spencer Flay has been building an audience since 2018 with his ukulele, guitar and loop station. His first attention came when the BBC became fascinated with his routine of writing songs in his crane cab above the Bristol Docks.
Starting off with an intricate, high-energy and warm acoustic guitar line, with his new track
‘Out Out’ Spencer Flay and featured vocalist Nicole Silva are able to capture us with a party anthem. Bouncy drums and a groovy bass keep the track moving forward, while both vocalists take us on a journey of a summer night out, letting loose and then perhaps regretting the over-indulgence the next day. Alongside the plucky synth melodies, this becomes a track to soundtrack your entire evening, pre-drinking, first bar all the way the final club.
On the single, Spencer shares, “Out Out is my summer banger for grafters looking to get away from their daily grind. Sometimes we just need a night away from real life and I think as we get older we forget how important that night is.
I actually wrote this song last year after my mate’s wedding where all the lads and their wags were free from the kids and were just right up for a sesh. It really made me appreciate that quality time I have with them, even if it ends in a good chunder!
My favourite music to get a dance on has always been a good reggaeton beat and there was no way it wasn’t going to have a latino vibe! My mate and super talented singer Nicole Silva was the perfect match to make that combo come true. My music video sums it up really, everyone can really relate to this one in one way or another! Big love to my producer Angus Malcolm who really nailed this too.”
