Meet the brand new alias from one half of decorated duo Newtimers.
Fans of the more soul-tinged variants of dance music may have encountered the voice of Andreas "XANDY" Cavaco before via international hits by Bondax ("Gold"), CAZZETTE ("Together") and The Magician ("When the Night Is Over"). Following a period of knuckling down in the studio and an ambitious rebrand, XANDY has arrived with his debut solo single, "(In)xanity".
Gracing a self-produced combination of voweled, funk-tinged guitar licks, stuttering drums and ethereal chords, XANDY glides over the instrumentation with ease, directly addressing the listener with passionate words. The track is said to serve as the first offering from the emerging talent's as-yet-unnamed debut project.
Speaking about the song, XANDY jokes: “The song is like me in a bed with all my relationships at once plus a muse sitting on my face. (Almost) obsessive.”
