Multi-platinum artist and producer SYML has released 'The White Light of the Morning', a haunting and tender new single from his upcoming album 'Nobody Lives Here', due April 4, 2025. The track offers one of SYML’s most personal reflections yet, born from the grief following his father’s passing.
“For months after my dad passed away, I would have these dreams where I am with him in this bright and peaceful place,” SYML (Brian Fennell) explains. “The saddest part was that, in my dream, he didn’t know he had died. It felt profound and helpless.”
Written, recorded, and produced entirely by Fennell, 'Nobody Lives Here' is a raw meditation on loss, change, and the strange clarity that can come from confronting grief. It’s SYML’s clearest and most vulnerable writing to date, balancing cinematic production with visceral emotion, often carried by a slide guitar, a cello’s hum, or his unmistakable vocal tone.
