The Covasettes Talk True Love On Buoyant New Single 'Love In Polaroid'

Manchester indie-pop risers The Covasettes shine on the buoyant summer bop 'Love In Polaroid'.

A track which balances it's heartfelt lyricism with an infectious sea of indie bliss, the singles use of breezy guitar riffs and light, floating aura gives a vibrant dancability under the delicate and honest vocal delivery. Holding a flourecent commercial appeal with its earworm melodies, the track showcases what skilled songwriters the band are allowing the restained simplicity of the song to keep the ideas and direction of the track pure.

Speaking about the meaning behind the track, the band explain: “It’s almost as if when the clocks go back, something within this band chimes and all of a sudden we come alive. We were born to make songs to drive along to on a hot summer day with your pals and this song is ready to do all the above and more.

It’s a really fun song about the initial stages of dating someone and getting into a relationship where everything feels so fresh, exciting and almost dream-like. I tried to encapsulate that feeling in a sense where it’s like nothing can do wrong for you, that’s how I want people to feel when they listen to it.”

A brilliant effort from a band heading inton a summer full of festival appearences, 'Love In Polaroid' is out now. Listen below:
