The Electric Sons, an alternative indie duo, have recently released their first track of 2023 after gaining popularity in 2022. The duo has become showcase artists for Red Bull, American Songwriter, and BMI, and their music has been featured in prominent advertising campaigns for brands such as Chevy, Wendy's, and Red Bull.
Their latest single, "Black Lotus," originated from a conversation about a Magic The Gathering card, which then transformed into a dialogue about the struggle of being blinded by pain and loneliness. This blindness can prevent one from noticing the beauty around them that may offer relief from such feelings.
The Electric Sons independently wrote and produced the song and had it mixed by Ben Allen at Maze Studios, who has worked with notable artists such as Cut Copy, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Washed Out.
