In the realm where unconventional beats and avant-garde trombone melodies collide, TromBobby stands as a maestro. Following the success of PAUSE VOL.1, the enigmatic multi-instrumentalist is gearing up to drop the much-anticipated sequel, aptly titled PAUSE VOL. 2, on December 13th. With sneak peeks offered through singles "LIKE ME" and "THE ROAD TO CHOREFTO", TromBobby hints at a project that promises to be a sonic journey like no other.
The genesis of PAUSE VOL. 2 dates back to January 1st, marked by the inception of the first beat TromBobby crafted in 2023. A pivotal track, "Jesus in a Rocket", inspired by a surreal encounter with a painted Jesus in a rocket adorned on a church in the mountains of Bulgaria, lays the foundation for this musical odyssey. The vinyl release of the album will include this unique and introspective piece, setting the tone for what is to come.
Collaboration is at the heart of this project, with TromBobby expressing gratitude to the diverse array of talented artists who have contributed to the album. A galaxy of musical minds from around the world injects their perspectives and energies into the sonic universe of PAUSE VOL. 2. The album stands as a testament to the power of collective creativity, each contributor leaving an indelible mark on the auditory canvas.
TromBobby's wife, Vittoria, emerges as a central muse and source of inspiration, a silent force behind the scenes for the past decade. In his own words, "The individuals with whom I had the privilege of collaborating on PAUSE VOL. 2 served as my primary source of inspiration for the music.
“Not every song needs a B part, a bridge, crazy chord changes, etc. I took it back for VOL.2. I feel good about this body of work. It’s definitely more diverse as a follow-up and I made it completely sober so it hits differently. Got a chance to work with some beasts and it still feels like a dream.”
TromBobby continues to push the boundaries of musical expression, and PAUSE VOL. 2 promises to be another landmark in his extraordinary career.
