British pop-country powerhouse Twinnie kicks off 2025 with 'Worst Kind of Crush', an infectious pop-infused offering that puts a bittersweet twist on love and heartbreak—perfect for anyone navigating the highs and lows of romance this season.

With sharp, heartfelt lyrics that capture the sting of unfulfilled love, 'Worst Kind of Crush' contrasts heartbreak with high-energy pop-country hooks:

“The worst kind of crush is us making out at midnight on New Year’s Eve / The worst kind of rush is us giving it up and you disappearing on me.”

Speaking about the song, Twinnie shares:

“We all know what it’s like to have a crush, but hopefully, if you’re lucky, you’ll never know what it’s like to feel crushed by love. This song is about missing the potential of what could have been—when someone does a 180 on you and their feelings completely switch.”

“I wrote this song with Brandon Paddock a few years ago, and I’ve always loved its crossover appeal. It’s a sad story, but it has a happy groove. It was inspired by Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’—a love song that’s left open-ended, hoping that love will return, all while making you want to dance to the beat.”
