We Don't Ride Llamas share Grief and Protest with “(2-Inch) Grave”

We Don’t Ride Llamas, a punk-metal quartet known for their unapologetic intensity, again demonstrate their power with their latest single, “(2-Inch) Grave”. Released in the wake of Winter Storm Uri, a catastrophic event that ravaged Texas in February 2021, “(2-Inch) Grave” serves as a poignant tribute and a resounding protest against the systemic failures that led to immense suffering and loss of life. As the band members themselves reflect, this track delves deep into the visceral experiences of fear, survival, and community resilience during the storm, echoing the sentiments of countless Texans who weathered the brutal cold and darkness without adequate support.

From the very first chord, “(2-Inch) Grave” we are drawn into the music, characterized by its raw power and emotional depth. The deep guitar tones create an ominous atmosphere, punctuated by thudding riffs that reverberate with a sense of urgency and defiance. Yet, amidst the darkness, there are moments where the music swells and resonates with an almost cathartic intensity.

As we listen to “(2-Inch) Grave”, we are not merely passive observers but active participants in a collective act of remembrance and resistance. Through music, We Don’t Ride Llamas invites us to bear witness to the depths of human suffering and to stand in solidarity with those who have been unjustly silenced.
